Code Enforcement Board

The Code Enforcement Board protects, promotes and improves the health, safety and welfare of the citizens residing within the City. The board has the authority to issue remedial orders and impose fines in order to provide an equitable, effective and inexpensive method of ensuring compliance with the ordinances of the City of Vine Grove. The board members are appointed by the Mayor and approved by City Council to serve staggered four-year terms.

The City addresses code violations, including complaints regarding grass, garbage, litter, junk cars, domestic animals and no business license reports.
